muse-s and grouses.

Friday, March 28 2008

hello bevan,
welcome back.

bevan’s life this week has been unusual to say the least, beginning with the muse, bringing the sounds of persia, china, hongkong, and the impossibilities of gillingham, he felt was an enjoyable experience albeit exhausting. and realising it’s the last time he’ll be with his seniors performing a concert, it didnt hit him till now.

the nostalgia is hitting him hard, and he decides to treasure the japan trip, every moment.

and even with one person sitting in between, the mouth was lazy to move, mind inactive to think, and heart whirring in confusion. send him a clear sign, or perhaps, he should be sending himself one.

the pressure of 10000pa is crushing him, most probably mashing his brains into minuscule bits, and he walks each day to just end it. and when the night beckons, he embraces it so deeply and tightly that he wishes he never wishes to wake up. other than school forcing him to.

bevan obviously doesn’t know what is going through his head right now,
knowing how my mind works doesn’t help,
and neither does having nobody to talk to.

and if he told you to let go
would you accept it?
let go.

hard times and stiff fingers.

Friday, March 21 2008

jumpy internet is not conducive for blogging.
neither is it for playing games.

yesterday went rather well, considering we missed voting for council,
and negativing the shit out of isaac “i look like president” lee.

and band, turandot needs severe cleaning up,
7 hours of band rehearsals don’t hit you till you get home
and feel totally wasted.
also, with so many running passages within persis and the like,
my hands need to start responding really soon.

WAKE UP YOU STUPID FINGERS.

at least this week flew by,
and hopefully the next 9 weeks do so likewise.

and this song to keep me sane:

“The Hard Times”

Is the rain falling from the sky keeping you from singing?
Is that tear fallen from your eye because the wind is stinging?
Don’t you fret now, child. Don’t you worry.
The rain’s to help you grow so don’t try to hurry the storm along.
The hard times make you strong.

Don’t you know the seed would never grow if there were never showers?
And though rain might bring a little pain, just look at all the flowers!
Don’t you fret now, child. Don’t you worry.
The rain’s to help you grow so don’t try to hurry the storm along.
The hard times make you strong.

I know how long the day can seem when storm clouds hide His face.
And if the rain dissolves your dreams, just remember His amazing grace!

Don’t you know the sun is always there even when the rain falls?
Don’t you know the Son will always care when He hears your voice call?
Don’t you fret now, child. Don’t you worry.
The rain’s to help you grow so don’t try to hurry the storm along.
The hard times make you strong.

that smile makes me realise how real those feelings are

melding into the shadows
as i stand watching.
.
.
.
from afar.

leaping years.

Thursday, March 13 2008

finally had a chance to go out for some leisure.

alright, so i went out with enxuan, peiqi, kennett, jere, keith to vivo.
planning initially to watch step up, which was booked out, settled for the leap years instead.

seriously, it was a good show.
unlike second-class acting local movies, a la ju__ ___low _a_, [Name excluded to protect mysellf]
leap years is something that didn’t disappoint.

props go to wonglilin qiyiwu and the whole cast.
pulling off this emotional script is really a mean feat.
go watch the show, and i guarantee, you’ll have a different perspective to local productions.
no more cheesyness
and a plot that manages to pull at your heartstrings,
it’s a first-class production.

gifts and such,
debate on making words less conspicuous,
this is getting interesting.

and he smiled.

stagnation.

Wednesday, March 12 2008

it’s been a reallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreallyreally long time since i posted.
laziness, IB, band is not the very ideal combination of things to keep my blog updated.

turandot, withheartandvoice, blueshades, persis, charming asia, fengyanghuagu,
that’s our repertoire for march 24th and i must say, it is one of the best yet.
unfortunately for certain people,
i believe it would be (if there is still any hope) to be our best performance in a long time.
and it’s one stupid time for my wisdom tooth to start acting up.

cause it bloody hurts like hell.

and on a more random note,
official reports have confirmed that the US Air Force is retiring the F117 Nighthawk.
shocker. but honestly, that thing is one old goose.
in service since 1983
officially since 1988, most probably cause of some major screwup in secrecy, something unsurprising of the american government.
here, in all it’s grandeur, or what’s left of it in a thumbnail form,

The F117 Nighthawk

this goose was a favourite of mine when i was a little kid. comon, who wouldn’t be fascinated in a flying triangle!?
this plane inspired the B2, F22, F35 and any other stealth capable plane you can think of,
and it’s a real pity to see the godfather of stealth planes being retired from active service.
and be put in hangars
and museums
and scrapped.

oh well, fans of this plane, we salute this mighty bird.
to stealth, and america’s first flying triangle.

ocean pacific is being put on hold unfortunately,
writer’s strike.
